As we’re expanding in Mallorca, we’re excited to announce that we’ve updated our Instagram handle.

Why Almond Grove Interiors?

Our almond grove, nestled in the Tramuntana mountains, is where our design philosophy, ‘Barefoot Elegance’, was born. It’s also where we are building our forever home on the island and where I feel the most inspired. Now, as we begin our house build journey, it felt like the right time to mark this adventure with a change in name.

Soon, we’ll start taking you behind the scenes of our build, while continuing to share our favourite interiors from past and current projects. Those looking for styling tips are also in the right place, as we have lots of exciting content to share.

If you love what we do at our international projects we will also continue to document them and take you with us as we travel.

Kitchen design should bridge both seasons in Mallorca. When it’s chilly, a kitchen devoid of texture will feel cold and unwelcoming. A minimalist kitchen feels fresh and elegant, however, when choosing furniture, fittings and dressings, make sure you introduce as much texture as you feel comfortable with to keep it cosy across the seasons. Copper or bronze metal on taps and timber accents on furniture instantly warm a kitchen. I always encourage clients to have upholstered seating in the kitchen - in an outdoor fabric - to add a softness that you will thank me for. Kitchens have been extensions of our living spaces for years and you want them to feel as cosy as your living room. When it comes to your surfaces, don’t forget to add movement, texture and life in the form of linen covered cook books, terracotta pots with herbs and a selection of well used wooden chopping boards. If you have an empty wall, add some hanging baskets with greenery for that natural vibe.
